Dr Forsythe

Approach to Healing

Dr Kevin ForsytheI enjoy caring for a wide variety of orthopedic problems; having a special interest in sports and reconstructive surgery. Shoulder, hip and knee problems are of particular interest to me.

You, the patient, deserve unique consideration for your ailment and its effect on your life. No “one-size-fits-all” treatment and rehabilitation plan works for everyone. My goal is to tailor the best treatment option for each individual. I strive to rehabilitate your orthopedic problem without surgery.

The best results come from a team-approach involving the patient, myself, and physical therapist (plus other ancillary services) to achieve a goal. The active and positive role of the patient is key to enjoying a successful outcome. Your strong commitment (with my help) to your own care is the best method to maximize results and reach long-term goals. My staff and I eagerly look forward to helping you regain your active lifestyle.

On A Personal Note

My wife and I decided to raise our three children on the Central Coast of California, where we can be close to nature and family. After my surgical training in Chicago (where our first child was born), I was in private practice for five years in the San Joaquin Valley. I had the privilege to assist as a Team Physician for the Stockton Thunder ECHL Hockey and Cougars Indoor Professional Soccer teams. I also had the opportunity to help families regain the active lifestyles they had lost for one reason or another.

We were blessed with our two younger children in northern California, and decided to move to San Luis Obispo County to live closer to family. My wife is a Family Medicine physician who spent much of her childhood in Atascadero.

In practicing Orthopedic Surgery, I’ve discovered joy connecting with my patients and their families. It is most gratifying to offer solutions to mobility problems whenever possible, and value my privilege and responsibility to positively affect a life.

I perform surgery at French Hospital in San Luis Obispo, Twin Cities Hospital in Templeton, and Templeton Surgery Center in Templeton.
